Week 9 Rewind

I am very humbled by all the get well soon messages and calls I got from you guys over the last week. I don't know if it is that you guys really care this much or if you just didn't want to have to read another one of Kristofer's Rewinds that fail to mention Justin Bieber, whatever the reason thank you guys for the genuine concern. Just a quick update, my illness is about 87% over and I am about 73% better. It wasn't anything to be too concerned about just a flare up of the salmonella from the pot pie fiascoes from almost 2 years ago. That salmonella always flares up with the start of cold weather.   Michael Jackson  Player of the Week When did I become required to praise the Salty Slug in my weekly post? I guess you can't help it when you climb the standings like air bubbles rising to the surface. They teach you in swim classes to follow the bubbles up if you lose track of what way is the surface. I guess being as far down in the standings as I am every time I try to look up I feel like I am blowing bubbles up Salty Slugs behind.   Rep. Rex Duncan  Pick of the Week I hate having to make this weekly standard any more about me. But let's face it, I am smarter than the rest of you. I proved it again this week by being the only one to pick Ron Mexico to take down Laser Rocket Arm. You guys are just lucky that this Salmonella flare up went to my brain Sunday morning and made me change my Chargers and Bears picks. Think about how much of this Rewind would have been about me then.   Stephen DeMeo Loser of the Week Teachers "sexting" students is nothing new. In fact my cousin-in-law by marriage got caught doing it a few years ago. So in the category of old news let me take this change to tell Cowboys something so old it will sound new... If you don't come to the games, you're not going to play. What is it about rookies in this league always forgetting about picking games on Sundays? I am just waiting for the week that the Terriers forget. Brady Quinn Fantasy of the Week   Admit It, He Stinks Let me help some of you guys out who are struggling on who to drop and who to keep week to week on your fantasy teams. I know we all put a lot of work into our draft and we all think that those guys that we drafted will come around and be good because we thought they were on draft day but sometimes you have to admit when you drafted a dud. The Broncos traded for Brady Quinn and gave up Peyton Hillis, they were wrong just like you were for drafting Knowshon Moreno and keeping him on your roster all year. Just drop those guys who stink. This is week 10 now, they stink already.   Mark Haub Tip for Winning at Life -    Eat It Look, it is Holiday time. We have trick or treat candy around the house and festive foods on the menu. Let me tell you this, eat it. Eat all of it, eat any of it. Don't you know there are starving people in somewhere so you should eat more here. Mark Haub lost weight eating doughnuts and candy bars every 3 hours. I am starting to think that I am fat because I don't eat enough honey buns and moon pies. Women don't care what men look like so why do we? Look at all the ugly men you know. They all got a woman. Men's looks don't matter to women, it's obvious. So if candy or gravy make you gain or lose weight who really cares? Enjoy it. I always tell people, I don't know how long it takes to get to Heaven but I don't want to take the trip on an empty stomach. As always, I love you guys.
