AFC North

There is going to be a lack of wins from this division but let me be clear, this is not your older brother's AFC North. The Bengals Browns and Ravens don't exactly have a storied franchise pedigree but they each are going to be better this year than they have been in recent history.

Baltimore Ravens FanThe Baltimore Ravens10 – 11 Wins

When teams pick up veteran free agents who were cut during roster cuts tells me that they are looking at this season as their year not trying to build for next season and beyond. This team is going to hang their hopes on the offense more than the defense for the first time since Ray Lewis was born and that is a giant shift in landscape. Hopefully TJ Houschmanzanadfalijae won't take many touches away from Ray Rice since he is on a fantasy roster or two of mine.

Schedule: Overall is do-able. With the talent and the experience this team boasts of this schedule has challenges but is not unfair. When Ed Reed comes back after rehabbing from injury this team will be a late season juggernaut.

Fantasy Grades – Flacco=B   Rice=A+   Boldin=B   Heap (sleeper)  DEF=A-

The Cincaniti Bengals7 – 8 Wins

I can't believe that a team with Cedric Benson, Pacman Jones, T.O., Chad Johnson and Tank Johnson will survive an NFL season in this era of camera phones, twitter and mobile uploads without controversy and distraction. Fact of the matter is that talent alone does not win championships or even divisions.

Schedule: Overall is difficult. This year's version isn't sneaking up on anyone like they did last year. A first place finish last year means that things are going to be exponentially more difficult this go around.

Fantasy Grades – Palmer=A   OchoCinco=B-  T.O.=B-  Benson=C+   DEF= B

The Pittsburgh Steelers6 – 7 Wins

Let's face it, Ben Rothlisburger acts like a jerk when not on the field. But to his credit he can win football games. So without him this team is going to miss the playoffs and will probably be throwing around the dreaded word "re-building" come week 16 and 17. Even with the suspension reduced, this team plays in a division that is too tough for them to see the post season.

Schedule: Overall is favorable. Really if a team was going to make a mid-late season run on the energy of a quarterback returned from exile this would be a schedule that could make that happen.

Fantasy Grades -  Rothlisburger=C+    Wallace=B    Ward=B  Mendenhall=B  Def=A-

The Cleveland Browns – 5 – 6 Wins

I really do like what the Mangenius is doing in a large, broad, macro idea. But sad to say most large macro thinkers are investment bankers and not rapid NFL beat writers and sports talk radio hosts. There is no doubt that this team is on the right track for the long term, but most of the time franchises are taken off of one right long term track for another's right track in which they hope to move faster in that direction. Look for a coaching change after this season all around the Great Lakes.

Schedule:  Overall is reasonable. There are clearly a couple of winnable games to begin the year. Then from weeks 3 – 10 this team will probably lose 7 straight games.

Fantasy Grades – Delhomme= F   Mohammod= C+  Harrison=B   Cribbs=C  DEF= F
