Week 8 Rewind

This past week in the Pick'em league was about movement, about who wants to compete, about who knows more about football!  Week 8 showed us the greatest range in points, excluding the weeks when some players missed picks.  The high for the week was 12 and the low was 6.  Forget about the fluff, let us get into the meat and potatos.

Player of the Week - Crap-tastic, you were FANTASTIC in Week 8.  Listen people, Crap-tastic got all but one game right this week.  He earned 12 points and moved into 1st place, passing Superbowl Bound Seahawks who has held the lead since Week 1.  You ask, what game did he miss?  It wasn't the Philly-NYG game.  Nope, not the Vikes verse the Pack.  Yep, he picked Miami to win too.  The only game Crap-tastic missed was the Arizona-Carolina game.  The Cardinals continue the sporadic play.  At the end of Week 7 and beating the NY G-men, Arizona was a top rated football team, primed and ready for a playoff and perhaps a Superbowl run.  Now after the loss to the Panthers, even the top NFL analysis wonder what is wrong with this team.

Pick of the Week - Well, in our league only one person chose the winless Rams to be victorious last week.  By default you should all know who wins this award in Week 8.  Crap-tastic, is the golden boy and takes home another weekly another.  Nicely done, my friend, nicely done!

Loser of the Week - There were quite a few players that competed for this trophy.  Nearly half of the gang scored 6 or 7 points.  I will single someone out, and that person is no other than last week's player of the week, The Chairman.  The Chairman has been consistently below average.  Last year he was running away from the crowd.  This year, so far, not so much the same.  Loser of the Week with 7 points...The Chairman.

Tips for Winning...At Life- The Biggest Loser was on TV last night.  I stopped and watched it for awhile.  As I was watching it, the contestants were learning some healthy eating tips at the White House about fresh veggies.  Everybody seem so amazed about the food grown from the garden on the White House property.  I did not share this excitement.  My vegetables come from a garden too.  I don't maintain this garden, but I get to pick it though. It's fresh and I eat it.  People, it is called a produce stand or department.  They sell fresh veggies grown from the ground!  Bon apatite!
