With Week 10 behind us, we now say Buh-Bye to the Bye weeks. No longer are single digit scores allowed if you want to compete for the K&S Pick'em gold crown. You know what they say, unless you're the lead dog, the view never changes. Throw me bone and let's get started.
Player of the Week - Goes to the Chairman with 11 points in Week 10. How does it feel to be back on top? The Chairman missed only four games and all those missed picks were favorites to win and nearly everybody else picked those same games, with the except of...
Pick of the Week - ...Scrappy with checking Cincy over Pitts. Nice insight boss! Can you believe it, the Bengals are 7-2 through 10 weeks of play and lead the tough AFC North. And once again I am forced to say it, the Bengals are killing me in this league. I can't pick'em right.
Loser of the Week - Mississippi Slug Salter is in a slump. This past week he only netted 6 points. He missed the Thursday night pick and did not have a good 2nd half of sunday - only getting the Packer pick correct. MS Slug Salter is on a downward spiral since earning the week high in Week 4. Since then he's gone for 9, 8, 9, 7, 7 and 6 points. Being out of first by 12 points hurts, but it is not impossible to make a run and put up an underdog fight.
Tips for Winning...At Life -
Scenario:
I was recently talking about car insurance and was told I'm paying too much on a monthly basis. Since high school I knew insurance was going to be skyrocketing because I'm male, was single, was irresponsible in the insurance industry eyes, was a terrible driver that would only cause problems. Well, I was eager to turn 25 to see my rates go down. I remember it was $25 a month they dropped. When I got married and combined insurance rates dropped again. Currently I'm paying $204 a month for 2 cars and renters insurance. I thought that was normal and decent. Well, after shopping my business I got a quote about an hour ago for $112 per month. That is a darn nice savings! See you later State Farm!
This has taught me a couple lessons - tips for winning at life:
1. If you are comfortable and complacent, then you are most likely not growing or bettering your life.
2. It takes a little bit of work, but you'll be better off in the end
3. Question the norm and be ready to take action.
Now, go shop your car insurance and save some money!!!
Don't forget those Thursday night games. See you in Week 11!
