The first week of the NFL came to a close with two close games and near up sets from two of the favorites to make deep post season runs. San Diego and New England proved what makes great teams - poised quarterbacks. That's why owners pay top money for prized quarterbacks. On the other side, you had two teams that are rebuilding, played tough, but to simply put it, could not finish. It's how you play in the clutch.
So how did the K&S Football Tourney season start? STRONG. I'm sure you have checked the standings. There were two superstars that missed only two games, giving them a league leading 14 points. The good news was everybody was in double digits, so the difference from first to last is 3 points. Remember, it's not how you start but how you come through in the clutch.
The Surpise of the Week was San Fran upsetting the incumbent NFC Champions, and nobody in the league calling it. Maybe, just maybe, Coach Singletary has made an impact on the organization. I was also surprised with the J E T S this past weekend. Rookie head coach, rookie starting quarterback, and on the road. Big win for New York, and an even bigger loss for the Texans.
So, did anybody watch the Miami at Atlanta game? Since I missed it, I need somebody to tell me what happened to my 'Phins. Post a comment to let me know.

Your 'Phins got no offense. They were unimaginative and not creative in their play calling. Their defense played pretty well but was on the field too long because the offense couldn't hold on to the ball. The Dolphins are like Obama's presidency, one and done.
