Preview time of the AFC North. This division is soaked in tradition and also soaked in Super Bowl rings recently thanks to the Steelers.
The Good: The Steelers - As most of you probably remember, these guys were the last team standing last season and it was no fluke. The defense on this team is too good for the rest of this division to score any more than 17 points a game against all season. This division is offensively challanged but a good part of that is the defense of the Steelers and the Ravens. Look for the offense to develop their second year phenom Mendawhatever into a beast of a fantasy back and the heir apparant to Willie Parker. A deep playoff run is in store again for Steeltown, USA.
The Bad: The Browns - Cerentialy the NFL didn't envision this franchise being so pathatic when they protected the Browns name and records once the old team left town. Anytime you see a QB compeition it means that the team has virtually no expectations for the season and this team is there. I look for this team to implode and to turn on each other in about 5 minutes after the first quarter of the first game.
The Ugly: Bengals Defense - With the return of a healthy Carson Palmer and the revival of Ochocinco this offense should be ready to get this team back to respectability. The only problem is that only half of the game is played on offense. Marven Lewis has become a miserable failure and has ruined his reputation as a defensive mastermind by letting this defense be so bad for so long. Some people are saying that this will be the year he turns it around but let's be honest, the only reason he is still there is because the owner is too cheap to fire him.
There you go, the AFC North is probably the League's "hardest-hitting" division. With teams like the Ravens and the Steelers you better be sure to tighten your chinstrap.
As always, I love you guys.
The Chairman
