Week 14 Rewind

The season is dwindling down and the playoff picture is becoming clearer. The Cardinals and Titans both won their divisions and clinched a playoff spot this past weekend. Even though the NY G-men lost against Philly on Sunday, Dallas' lost to Pittsburgh help NY clinch a playoff berth.

How about those Dolphins? After a 1-15 season last year, the Dolphins are now 8-5 and are in a three way tie for AFC East. My Miami Dolphins are talking playoffs folks. Man, I love the NFL. I just heard also that Mr. Pennington has over 3,000 passing yards this season and more than the legendary Brett Favre. Coach Parcells, ooppssss I mean Coach Sparano knows what he is doing.

The fan favorite Atlanta Falcons lost this week in a hard fought game against its arch nemesis- the New Orleans Saints. Only the Chairman and I went with the hometown favorite to squeeze out a victory. Carolina and Tampa Bay are battling now for a W on Monday night football. It's a tie game, 10 all, after Delhomme threw his second pick of the game. I picked the Panthers to win, along with four others. Chalk up a TD for Steve Smith, 10-17.

The Chairman and I share the week high with 12. If Carolina wins, give us 13 and the win for Week 14. If Tampa Bay can win, then there will be a 3-way tie for 1st as I'd rather be Fishin will join us.

Chief Red Beard has the week low with 8. If TB wins, it will jump to 9, but that will not be enough to crawl out of the basement.

There were 7 games we all agreed on, and 3 games that were really the deciding factor - Miami-Buffalo, Dallas-Pittsburgh, and Carolina-Tampa Bay. The pick of the week is accepted by Chief Red Beard. The Chief took Philly to beat the Burress-less NY Giants. Nice pick Red Beard! By the way, are you sporting the Red Beard this holiday season?

Red Beard also had the loser pick of the week. They say it is hard to lose all 16 games in a season, but the Lions are making it look easy. Chief Red Beard is pulling for Detriot, but as the Big 3 go down in Michigan, so do the Lions. Nice try.

Overall, the Chairman extended his lead. It looks like the K&S Enterprise tourney winner is starting to get brighter and brighter, but that is no reason to let your guard down.

Stay tuned and don't forget to make Thursday night picks folks. I'm out.
