Let’s take a look at the stats for the K&S Tourney, since that is the sole reason you are reading this blog. Collaboratively, this was the highest scoring week since Week 3 as the group had 90 total points combined. BigDawgsFan and Superbowl SeaHawks shared the high score with 11 points this weekend – 2 more points than the leader of the pack – and also had the exact pick set. I’d Rather Be Fishin’ had the week low with 5 as he missed all the early games. Continuing with the concise analysis, the pick goes not to Perry who did choose Brett Favre and the NY Jets to beat Buffalo, but Longhorns for choosing my Miami Dolphins to go into Denver and intercept its way to victory. I like that! What comes around goes around, because Longhorns also took the Pats to beat Indy. You gain one, you lose one – you’re back at zero.
Chief Red Beard slipped this week after having a great run over the past few weekends. He slips to fifth overall, while Longhorns and Perry make up some ground holding on to second and third. SuperBowl ‘Hawks is in 4th which rounds out the top five. The Chairman still has a three point lead going into Week 10. Each week he has lost some footing, but nothing critical. Will the Chairman’s path to Week 18 be like yesterday’s election, where the pundits thought McCain closed the gap only to see Obama win in a landslide or will the underdog surge? Stay tuned, it should be a close race.
Before I close, there was a mistake in last week’s report. Longhorns only was given credit for 66 total points when it should have been 71. Yahoo always has it right, but the back office calculation was a bit off. I guess it doesn’t matter since nobody reads this thing or cares anyway. Week 8's new graphic is at the bottom of the post along with Week 9's.
This week there is a new poll over to the left -> -> -> -> -> -> -> ->
Make sure to vote, we only had one voter in last week’s question. It ain’t that hard…click a button.
Last thing for the week…there is a Thursday night game, so make your pick!
