Week 7 Rewind

Last weekend was another doozey just like this entire NFL season has been through 7 weeks. There was one participant though that rose to occasion and took it to the rest of us. Perry came alive and roaring back this past weekend and scored his season high 11 points. He only missed three games: Indy, Denver, and the Jets. Did you notice I did not say “Dallas” in that last sentence? That’s right, Perry took St. Louis over the most talented team in the league, the Dallas Cowboys. It could have been the worst pick of Week 7, but instead it was the best pick of the week. Mr. Perry closed the gap a bit between him and the Chairman by 3 points. If he keeps it up, he might be within striking distance in a couple more weeks. Congrats, Mr. Perry, for taking home the weekly point honor as well as the best pick of the week.

Chief Red Beard also had a pretty good week with 10 points and was able to make up some ground between him and the Chairman by 2 points. This tourney is far from over…Chairman beware. Chad also had a great pick and was the only person to hit NE with a win over Denver on Monday night. I wish I had the vision these two players have. Nice pick!

How did the rest of the crowd do this week? Let’s take a look: Longhorns and SeaHawks got 9, The chairman, Scarppy, and Fishin’ Maniac got 8, and the floor dwellers for the week with 7 were me, Stapleton, and Mr. LaVelle (aka bigdawgsfan).

The worst pick of the Week belongs to the Chairman for going with the upset of Cleveland over the Redskins. Even though Brady went out on a limb with this pick, it was negated with his Raiders’ pick of Brett Favre and the struggling J_E_T_S.

Unanimous picks of the week: Tampa Bay, NY Giants, Houston, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. The three deciding games of the week: Baltimore over Miami, Buffalo over the Chargers, and the Carolina Panthers over the New Orleans Saints

So here are the final stats through week 7.
As I mentioned, a few people were able to close the gap between the leader, but it will take a few more weeks like Week 7 to displace the Chairman from the golden perch.

Have a good rest of the week fellas.
