What happened in week 3? Well, Miami clobbered NE and gained a surprised victory. As you can imagine, nobody called that. All participants choose Buffalo to beat the struggling Oakland Raiders, but it wasn't the blow-out we expected. The G-Men pulled out the big W in overtime against the improved Cincy team and the field all earned a point for that game as well. Tennessee beat Houston at home, which is another game all puppets picked. Denver has the respect of the crowd too; nobody gave the marching Saints a chance in the game.
So where did we differentiate? The toss up games were Carolina at Minnesota, Arizona at Washington, and Dallas visiting the Lambeau Field. Depending on how you picked really determined how you did. There were several people going out on a limb this past weekend which didn't turn out so well. Stapleton had Brett Favre winning Monday night and the Chargers at 0-3. That didn't happen. BigDawgsFan went against the Falcons picking the stuggling KC Chiefs. That didn't happen either. Superbowl Bound Seahawks took the visiting Lions to beat the 49ers. Nope, no luck there. Perry went with St Louis beating the Seahawks. No love there.
On the other hand, the Chairman and Longhorn both went with TB over Chicago and pulled out a point. Nicely done fellas. Also, the Chairman was the only person with faith in a 0-2 Jax Jaguars team to go up to Indy and beat Peyton Manning. Nice call. You know, that deserves the big thumbs up call of the week.
With picks like that, no wonder the Chairman took home the week honors in week 3 with the big score of 13 points. He also leads the league right now with 33. And just like that a 10 point gap spands the leader from the poor in spirit.
Keep your hopes alive, we still have 14 weeks!
