Week 2 Rewind

I just love football season. College football on Thursday, sometimes Friday, and all day Saturday. Speaking of college football did anybody see my TarHeels beat up the Rutgers last Thursday night on ESPN. I digress. NFL games all day Sunday and Monday night, it makes for a wonderful couple of days.

Alright, Week 2 was full of surprises. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the Houston-Baltimore game being postponed to Hurricane Ike. Much to my delight, I can say I actually improved from Week 1 to Week 2. Yahoo Pick'em took care of rescheduling this game for us, so there was only 15 games this past weekend.

The thumbs-up award of Week 2 goes to three individuals - Perry, Scrappy and the Chairman - for picking 66% (10 of 15) of the games correct for the week. These three stayed consistent with their Week 1 scores and now lead the pack with a grand talley of 20 points. Superbowl Seahawks is also in the leader group, but picked 9 games right this week.

Taking a look at the games picked overall in our friendly fan affair here, every participant hedged their bets on GB over Detriot, NYG over STL and Pitts over Cleveland. The big shout-out of the week goes to Longhorn (aka BIG Puddin' Coldiron) for taking Washington over the Saints. On the opposite side of things, Stapleton tried to get a point ahead with his pick of Miami over Arizona, but that did not turn out in his favor.

So, if you haven't signed into the league yet, here's the recent standings through Week 2.

Before I close, of the Chairman's two guarantees this week only one came through. Yes, Kerry Collins helped the Titans score more points in Week 2 than did Vince Young did in Week 1, but Stapleton did not pick more games than he did last week. Brady, that's why you don't make guarantees. And just so we are all aware, The Chairman's guarantees or expressed opinions do not reflect those of K&S Enterprises. The only guarantee K&S makes is to provide a fan friendly competition to all its constituents.

And my last comment, my props to Stapleton for his comment to the Week 2 Preview. We appreciate your interaction and need more of it.

Until next week,

KK

Cincy is a thorn in my side. I keep thinking, one week they will turn it around, but they never do. I picked them all of last year, and have picked them both times this year. That organization just needs to sweep up and clean out the house. I'm not picking them again until...oh, probably next week. It's just a thorn in my side and I can't bear to pull it out.
